Rob has welcomed the figures released by the Federation of Small Businesses.
Rob said:
“These figures are another example that show that George Osborne’s economic Plan A is working. Since coming into Government, our policy has been to support business and to create new jobs. We’ve done this by cutting red tape and making it easier for businesses to grow. It’s been this Government’s measures that have restored Small Business Confidence to its highest levels since the index series began.
“Though the economy is turning the corner, there is still a long way to go and there is no room for complacency.”
Regarding Reading’s local economy Rob said:
“Reading and the South East in general have been improving for some time now, with unemployment going down and new businesses being set up throughout Reading.
“Employers have been eagerly speaking to me trying to gain positions at my next Job Fair. The new railway station is making Reading an even more vital centre for travellers and Reading has cemented its status as the UK’s technological hub. Economically, the worst is hopefully behind us.”
