On Friday 21st April, Rob Wilson MP visited Reading-based Human Resources software specialist, Fairsail, at its global HQ in the Reading Enterprise Centre, University of Reading campus.
Rob said, “Fairsail is a great company based in Reading and doing extremely well. The recent acquisition by Sage demonstrates just how successful it continues to be.
“I’ve been delighted to support this and many other Reading-based businesses over the years and although I will be sad to see it move from the university campus, I am very pleased to learn that it will be expanding into the new Science Park.
“I wish Fairsail all the best in this move and look forward to visiting its new premises soon.”
Fairsail delivers cloud HR management systems for mid-sized organisations and meets the needs of increasingly mobile and global companies. This year it joined the Tech City UK Future Fifty and last year it was placed as one of the UK’s fastest growing technology companies in the Deloitte 2016 UK Technology Fast 50 for the third consecutive year.
In March The Sage Group plc. announced an agreement to acquire Fairsail and the companies will move forward with a shared product, Sage People. Sage is the market and technology leader for integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems.
The company continues to succeed and recently hired its 201st member of staff. Each member of staff is given a number when they join the business which they wear proudly on company clothing to show how the company has expanded.
Rob met with members of the team, including Chief Executive Officer and number 22, Adam Hale, to hear about how the company continues to grow as part of the recent acquisition. Adam also explained the company’s innovative way thinking, including the idea of ‘people science’. Fairsail will soon move from its headquarters on the University of Reading campus to the University Science Park.
